Picking a gift for a director of study
A director of study usually runs the academic side of a program: setting the course of study, advising students through their requirements, and keeping the schedule from falling apart at the start of every term. It's a job that gets a lot of credit in the spring and very little in the fall, when everyone is scrambling for seats. A gift that shows you understand that rhythm will land better than a generic teacher mug. Put their title on a shirt or mug so it's clearly theirs, then add a second line such as the department, the program or the year they took on the role. If they're the kind of person who keeps a dozen spreadsheets running at once, a hoodie for the chilly office or a mug for the first coffee of the morning is the sort of everyday gift that gets used.
Director Of Study gift questions
Can I add a department or program name under the title?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the department or program there and check the preview before you order.
Is there a version for a different academic title?

What's a good gift for a director of study who is retiring?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the year they started or finished is a personal way to mark the change.
