Picking a gift for a director of technical
A director of technical work usually sits between the engineers who build things and the people who have to explain them, so their days are a mix of code reviews, roadmap debates and late-night calls about why something broke. They tend to care about the craft even when they're no longer writing much of it, and a gift that nods to that lands well. A tee or hoodie with their title on it works for the office, the weekend and the conference hallway. Add the company or team name on the second line if you know it, or the year they took the role, so it reads as theirs and not a generic job shirt. A mug is the easy pick for the desk, where it will sit through a lot of standups and quiet fixes. If you're buying for a whole technical leadership group, the Team Shop lets you order one design with every name on its own shirt.
