Picking a gift for a director union
A director union is the person who keeps a labor organization running: negotiating contracts, sitting in long meetings, and standing up for members when things get tense. They often carry the job home in their head, so a gift that acknowledges the work without making a speech about it tends to land well. A tee or hoodie with director union on it is something they can wear to a rally, a picnic, or just a Saturday errand, and it signals that someone noticed what they do. For the office or the union hall, an 11 oz mug with their title gives them a daily reminder that their organizing matters. If you want it to feel personal, add the local number, the unit they represent, or the year they took the role in the second line, since a director union usually cares a lot about the specific local they serve.
