Gifts from Duson
Duson is a small town in Acadiana, the Cajun country of south Louisiana, and that's the first thing to get right. A shirt that says Duson is for someone who grew up there, moved away, or married into a family with roots in the parish. Louisiana people carry their hometowns with pride, and a town name on a shirt starts conversations at the gas station and the family cookout. Since Duson is a small place, a gift here works best when it feels personal: a tee for the kid heading off to college in Lafayette, a hoodie for the cold Acadiana mornings that come in winter, or a mug for the grandparent who still reads the local news. Add a second line with a street, a family name or a graduation year, and the shirt becomes about their Duson rather than just the town on a map.
