Gifts from East Rockaway
East Rockaway is a village on the South Shore of Long Island, a small place where people tend to stay put for decades, so a gift with the village name lands with a long history behind it. The person this is for is probably someone who grew up on the block, moved back after college, or married into a family that has been here for generations. A shirt or hoodie with East Rockaway on it is an easy way to show they belong to a place rather than just living in one. Local pride gifts work best when they feel like they came from someone who knows the place, so use the second line of a design for a detail that's theirs, like a street, a school class year, or the year they moved in. The mug suits the kitchen where they start every morning, and the baby onesie is a sweet way to name a newborn's hometown before the baby can say it.
