Picking a gift for an editorial assistant
Editorial assistants keep a publishing operation running. They check manuscripts, chase authors for files, fix the style sheet, and somehow remember which edition went to print with the wrong comma. The gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge that behind-the-scenes work. A soft tee for a day at the desk, a hoodie for the chilly office or the commute home, and a mug for the endless coffee run through a manuscript deadline. Make it theirs by typing the title exactly as they use it, editorial assistant or editorial assistant at a press, and add a second line for their imprint, the publication they support or the year they started. Those details turn a generic job shirt into something they'd actually wear to a launch party or a book fair. If you're buying for a whole editorial team, the Team Shop prints one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which is a lot more fun than another round of sandwiches at the production meeting.
Editorial Assistant gift questions
Can I add the name of the press or imprint to the shirt?
Yes. Most designs have a second line. Type the imprint or publisher name there and check the preview before you order.
Is there a shorter version of the title that fits better?
You can type any wording you like. If editorial assistant is long on a mug, try a shorter line on the second row or pick a design with a smaller layout.
What's a good gift for someone who just got their first editorial job?
A tee or mug with their title and start year marks the first step nicely. It's a light, practical gift for a first job that's still finding its feet.
Are there designs for kids or babies with this title?
Kids tees and a baby onesie are available for this title. Use the product filter to see them.
What sizes do the editorial assistant shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an editorial assistant gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
