Gifts from El Monte
El Monte is a city in the San Gabriel Valley, east of Los Angeles, with a large community of families who have lived there for generations and many who moved in more recently. A shirt that says El Monte tells people where someone belongs, whether that's a longtime resident, a former student who still comes back for the holidays, or a family that made the city their home. For someone who grew up there, a local shirt or mug is a quiet way to say they're still proud of their roots. For someone who moved away, it's a reminder of where they started. You can personalize the design with a second line for a neighborhood, a street, a high school class year or a family name, so the gift says something specific about the person wearing it rather than just naming a place on a map.
