Gifts from Emden
Emden is a port city on the Ems River in northwestern Germany, near the Dutch border, and it has a working waterfront that shaped its people for centuries. Someone with roots there, or with a connection through family, a job, or a stay in the area, will recognize their hometown on a shirt faster than almost any other gift. A tee or hoodie with Emden on it works for the person who left and still follows local news, or for the one who visited and wants a reminder of the harbor and the flat, open coastline. Because the name is short and distinctive, it reads cleanly on a mug or a baby onesie too, and a family can match a whole set of pieces without anything looking cluttered. If you want it to feel personal, use the second line on the design for a year they lived there, a street, or a nickname the family uses. That small detail is what turns a city name into their city.
Emden gift questions
Can I add a street or a year to the Emden design?
Many designs have a second line. Type a street name, a year, or a nickname there, and the live preview will show how it sits under the city name before you order.
Are there Emden designs for kids and babies?
Yes. Kids tees, dark kids tees, and baby onesies all have Emden designs. Use the product filter on the page to see which styles are available.
Which Emden design should I choose if I'm not sure?
Start with a simple design that just says Emden. It works for almost anyone with a connection to the city, and you can always add a personal second line.
What sizes do the emden shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an Emden gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
