Picking a gift for an engineering director
An engineering director has usually climbed up from the bench, so they've spent years writing specs, running design reviews and getting pulled into the production fire at odd hours. What they tend to value is something that acknowledges the work without turning them into a cartoon. A plain tee with their title is a quiet nod, and a hoodie is what they'll reach for on cold early mornings in the lab or the plant. Add the team or site they run, or the year they took the job, and the shirt becomes specific to their career. A mug works well on a desk that's crowded with standup notes and half-finished coffee. The Team Shop also fits if you're buying for a whole group of engineering leads who want to match at an offsite.
