Gifts from Excelsior
Excelsior is a small city name with a big meaning, the Latin word for higher, and that's a strong thing to put on someone who's always aiming for the next step. Whether they're from Excelsior, Minnesota, or just love the motto, a shirt with the name tells people where they stand and what they're working toward. The word fits well on a graduation or a new job, where it signals ambition without needing a long speech. Because the name is short and striking, it looks sharp on a clean front-of-shirt design, and a second line can carry a place, a year or a personal goal. A mug on their desk gives them a daily nudge, and a hoodie is the one they'll reach for on the cold mornings when climbing higher feels hard.
Excelsior gift questions
What does Excelsior mean?
Excelsior is Latin for higher or ever upward. It's the motto of New York State and appears on the seal of several places, which is why many people choose it as a word to live by.
Can I add a place or a year under the word?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a town, a year or a short goal beneath Excelsior and check the preview before ordering.
Is Excelsior a good word for a graduation gift?
It suits graduations well, since the word is about moving forward. Pairing it with the graduation year on a hoodie or tee makes the gift feel personal.
Can I get Excelsior designs for kids?
Yes. There are kids tees, dark kids tees and baby onesies with Excelsior designs, so you can match a family's whole set.
What sizes do the excelsior shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an Excelsior gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
