Picking a gift for a feature writer
A feature writer spends their days chasing the long piece, the profile, the story that takes weeks of interviews and rewrites before it runs. They know the difference between a deadline and a real deadline, and they tend to keep notebooks full of half-finished ideas. A gift that acknowledges the craft lands better than a generic joke about journalism. A tee or hoodie with their title on it gives them something to wear to the events and conferences where they're mostly the one with the notebook. A mug suits the desk, where most of the drafting happens, usually with cold coffee nearby. Adding a second line with their publication, beat or a year they started can make it feel like theirs. Pick the product that fits how they work, and you'll get the kind of reaction that suggests you really were paying attention.
Feature Writer gift questions
Can I add a publication or beat to the shirt?
Yes. Most designs have a second line, so you can type in their outlet, beat or a year they started. The live preview lets you check the spacing before you order.
What's a good gift for a new feature writer?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the year they started works well. It marks the new job without being too formal, and it's something they'll use right away.
Are there designs for kids or babies in this set?
Yes, there are a few kids tees and a baby onesie. Use the product filter to see them, which is handy if you want a family set with a writer's name on it.
Can I order shirts for a whole writing team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop, choose one design, paste the team's names and pick a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the feature writer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a feature writer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
