Picking a gift for a flight director
A flight director sits in mission control and makes the calls that keep a launch on track, so the people who do this job tend to be focused, calm under pressure, and a little bit nerdy about space. A tee that says Flight Director is the quiet nod they'll appreciate at the next launch-day watch party. Hoodies suit the cold, long hours of a launch countdown or a late-night simulation, and a mug with their name on it is the one thing in the control room that won't get swapped with someone else's coffee. Add their name or the program they support in the second line so it reads as theirs and not a generic job shirt. Flight directors often work on teams where everyone is on a shift rotation, so if you're buying for a whole crew, the Team Shop lets you put one design on everyone's shirt with their own name.
Flight Director gift questions
Can I add a name or a mission under Flight Director?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type a name, a mission or a team there and the preview will update so you can check the spacing.
Do flight directors wear anything special at work?
Dress varies by organization and many teams wear everyday clothes in the control room. A shirt is best for off-shift time, launch-watch parties and team events.
Is there a good gift for a flight director who just finished a big mission?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the mission name is a good way to mark the moment. It's personal and they'll use it long after the launch.
Can I order shirts for the whole flight team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person.
What sizes do the flight director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a flight director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
