Gifts from Fordland
Fordland is a small town, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a reunion, a county fair, or a college dorm where nobody else has heard of it. Because the word is so local, the best gifts are the ones that make the place feel personal: a second line for the year they graduated or the street they grew up on, or a mug for the parent who still lives there and wants the town name on something in the kitchen. A kids tee or onesie works well for a family that moved away and wants the next generation connected to a place they've only visited. Since Fordland is a smaller place, I'm not sure of its local details, so the most reliable way to make a gift land is to add something only the recipient would recognize, like a class year, a family name, or a nickname the town uses.
