Gifts from Fosterdale
Fosterdale is a small place, and people who come from small places tend to hold on to them. A gift with the town name on it is for the person who grew up there and now lives somewhere else, the one who still roots for the local team in the next town over and calls the same diner their favorite no matter where they are. Because the name is less familiar to outsiders, the shirt does a lot of work: it starts conversations and tells people where you're really from. Think about the details that belong to that place and the life lived in it, a road you drove every day, a graduating class, a year you moved back. Add that on the second line of a design and the shirt becomes a small piece of home. Since we don't know much about the town itself, the most reliable way to make a Fosterdale gift land is to keep the text personal: a year, a street, a family name, something only the two of you would understand.
