Picking a gift for a general duty nurse
A general duty nurse covers whatever comes through the door, which means shifts that swing from quiet charting to a full rush in minutes. The gifts they keep are the ones that help the long stretch between shifts feel a little easier: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for a cold break room, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't walk off to the nurses' station. Generic nurse shirts are everywhere, so the detail that makes one feel personal is the role itself. Put general duty nurse on the design, or add their name on a second line, and the shirt says something specific about the work they do. If you're buying for a whole unit, one design with each nurse's name on their own shirt makes a better Nurses Week gift than another tray of cookies. Nurses Week runs May 6 to 12 every year, and it's a busy time to order.
General Duty Nurse gift questions
Can I add a unit or credential to a general duty nurse shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a unit like med-surg or ICU, or a credential they earned. The preview updates as you type so you can check the spacing.
When is Nurses Week?
Nurses Week runs from May 6 to May 12 every year. If you're buying for a whole team, order a few weeks ahead of it.
Is there a gift for a new general duty nurse?
A hoodie or tee with their title and the year they started is a personal way to mark the milestone, and it's something they'll wear on shift.
Can I order shirts for my whole team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the general duty nurse shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a general duty nurse gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
