Picking a gift for a gifts officer
A gifts officer, sometimes called a gift officer or development officer, spends the working day building relationships with donors, asking people to give to a cause they care about and thanking them when they do. It's a job of long conversations, follow-up emails, site visits and a lot of patience while a donor decides. The gifts they keep are usually the ones that acknowledge that work without making it a speech. A soft tee for the weekend, a hoodie for the cold drive to a donor lunch, or a mug for the desk where the calls and proposals happen. Put their title on it, or add the organization or campaign they're working for, and it becomes something only they would wear. Their name on a mug or an onesie works just as well for a colleague who has just started in the role.
Gifts Officer gift questions
Can I add their organization or campaign name to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a name, year or unit. Type the organization or campaign there and check the preview before you order.
Is gifts officer a common job title?
It's used at many nonprofits, universities and hospitals, though titles like development officer or major gifts officer are also common. If their title is slightly different, type the exact wording you want.
What's a good gift for someone new to the role?
A mug or tee with their title and start year makes a welcoming gift, especially if they're still building their donor list.
Can I order for a whole fundraising team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to choose one design, paste each person's name and pick a size for everyone.
What sizes do the gifts officer shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a gifts officer gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
