Gifts from Goochland
Goochland is a small county in central Virginia, and the people who grew up there tend to hold onto that place tightly. A Goochland shirt is how someone tells the world where they're from, whether that's at a county fair, a family reunion, or a college campus full of strangers who've never heard of the town. Because so many Goochland folks move away for work or school and come back for holidays, a shirt or mug with the county name becomes a small piece of home they can carry with them. Pair it with a second line for their graduating class, the road they lived on, or the year they moved back, and it stops being a souvenir and starts being a story. Hoodies suit the cold mornings and the trip back for Thanksgiving, and a mug is the easy choice for a parent or grandparent who likes to keep the county close at the kitchen table.
