Gifts from Gretna
Gretna is a small city on the Louisiana side of the Mississippi, across the river from New Orleans, and most people who live there are proud of how much it has held onto its own identity. A Gretna shirt is a way to claim that: for the local who grew up near the old downtown, for the family that has been in the area for generations, or for someone who moved away and still says they're from Gretna when people ask. Because the word is specific, the best gifts lean into that closeness to home. Pair the city name with a second line for a neighborhood, a school class year or a family name, and it stops being a generic souvenir and becomes theirs. A mug works well for the kitchen counter, and a hoodie suits the cooler months when people want something warm and local to wear to games, errands and reunions.
