Picking a gift for a ham radio operator
Ham radio operators are the people who keep a radio rig in the spare room, a dipole strung between two trees, and a logbook full of call signs from places they'll never visit. Many of them talk to strangers across the country or across an ocean just to see what the band is doing tonight. They tend to love the hobby's history, its emergency communications work and its quiet technical puzzles. A gift that shows you know that lands well. A tee or hoodie with Ham Radio Operator on it fits the shack and the field day weekend, and a mug works on the desk next to the key. For a licensed operator, add their call sign on the second line if you know it, since that's what other hams look for. If you're not sure of the call sign, a plain design with their hobby is still a clear, friendly choice.
