Gifts from Hennepin
Hennepin is the county that holds Minneapolis, and it's the kind of word people from there wear without explaining. Someone who grew up in Hennepin County knows the lakes, the winters that stretch into April, and the way a Minneapolis address comes with its own opinions. A shirt or hoodie with the county name is a quiet way of saying where they're from, whether they live downtown now or moved out to the suburbs years ago. It also works well for someone who's left and misses it, since a mug on the kitchen counter brings the place back every morning. If you're choosing between designs, think about how they'd like to show it: a soft tee for everyday wear, a hoodie for the long cold months, or a kids shirt if the family is raising the next generation of Hennepin people. Add a line underneath, like a neighborhood, a year or a school, and the shirt becomes specific to them rather than just a county name.
