Gifts from Herod
Herod is a name that sends most people to the Bible, where Herod the Great and his sons ruled Judea under Roman oversight. That history is a loaded thing to put on a shirt, and it's more likely that a shopper here means a place called Herod, which is a small town in Illinois with a handful of people who call it home. Since that's the kind of place most people won't know much about, the best gift here is one built around the person rather than the place: a tee or hoodie with the town name is a conversation starter for someone who has to explain where they're from every time they fill out a form. If you're buying for a relative who grew up there or moved away and still says they're from Herod, a mug or shirt with the name on it says you noticed. You can add a second line for a year or a family name to make it theirs.
Herod gift questions
Is Herod a city or a town?
Herod is generally known as a small town in Illinois, which is why it's listed under cities here. If you're buying for someone from a different Herod, you can still use the design with a second line that names where they're from.
Can I add a family name or year to a Herod design?
Many designs have a second line. Type a family name, a graduation year or a reunion date there and the preview updates before you order.
Does the name Herod have any connection to the Bible?
The name is well known from the Bible, where Herod was a ruler of Judea. Many people with the name, or from the town, have no link to that history, so the design is a matter of how you want to present it.
What's a good gift for someone who moved away from Herod?
A mug or hoodie with the town name is a simple way to mark where they came from. Adding their graduation year or a family name makes it more personal.
What sizes do the herod shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Herod gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
