Gifts from Hoboken
Hoboken is a small city across the Hudson from Manhattan, packed with brick rowhouses, a waterfront walkway with views of the skyline, and a stubborn sense of its own identity. People who live there tend to describe it as a town within a city, where you know the coffee shop owner and the dog run regulars. A Hoboken shirt is how someone says they belong to that place, whether they grew up there, moved in for the commute, or spent a few years in the city before heading elsewhere. The product that suits best depends on the person: a hoodie for the chilly waterfront walk, a dark tee for a night out, or a mug for the kitchen of someone who misses it from afar. Add a neighborhood, a street or a graduation year on the second line to make it theirs. Many Hoboken residents have moved on, so a mug or tee can be a warm reminder of home for someone who now lives somewhere far more spread out.
