Gifts from Hughes Springs
Hughes Springs is a small East Texas town, and people who grew up there tend to stay attached to it wherever they end up. A shirt with the town name is how a former resident wears their hometown to a college campus, a job in Dallas or a family reunion back in Cass County. For the people who still live there, it's a plain way to say they're proud of where they're from. Because the town is small, a gift that names the place lands with people who know it and feels personal to the rest. Add the year they graduated, the high school they attended or the family name that's been around the area for generations, and the shirt becomes theirs. A mug suits the morning routine of someone who misses home, and a hoodie works well for cold Texas winters and for anyone heading back for a homecoming weekend.
