Picking a gift for a humanities professor
Humanities professors spend their days with books, papers and students who are still figuring out what they think, and they often work late with a cup of coffee going cold beside a stack of essays. A gift that acknowledges the work, rather than just the title, tends to land best. Think about the courses they teach, the years they've been at it, and whether they're tenured, adjunct or chairing a department. A mug is the everyday pick, since it lives on the office desk through every grading season. A hoodie suits the campus walk and the faculty meeting that runs long. For a professor who's just earned tenure or finished a book, a dated tee or hoodie marks the milestone without making a fuss. If you know their field, whether that's philosophy, literature, history or classics, the second line of a design is a good place to say so.
Humanities Professor gift questions
Can I add their field or specialty to the design?
Many designs have a second line. Type in their field, such as philosophy, literature or history, and the preview will update so you can check it before you order.
Is there a good gift for a professor who just got tenure?
A mug or hoodie with the year they earned tenure is a common choice. It's personal, useful, and marks the milestone without being too formal.
Can I order for a whole department?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Do the designs work for an adjunct instructor too?
They do. Any of the professor designs can be personalized with their name or course area, so an adjunct can wear the same design with their own details.
What sizes do the humanities professor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a humanities professor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
