Picking a gift for an illustrator
Illustrators spend long hours hunched over a drawing tablet or a sketchbook, often working to deadlines set by someone else and fitting personal projects in around them. The gifts that land tend to be the ones that acknowledge that quiet, focused work: a soft tee for sketching in a cold studio, a hoodie for the late-night stretch when the deadline is close, or a mug for the coffee that keeps the pencil moving. The word illustrator is a good fit because it names exactly what they do, and it tells the people around them that the job is real. You can make the gift more personal by adding their name in the second line, or a line like freelance or a studio name if they work with one. A design that says illustrator with their own name beneath it feels like a credit line, which is often the thing an illustrator cares about most.
Illustrator gift questions
Can I add a studio name or a specialty under illustrator?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a studio name, a specialty like comics or children's books, or their name there. The preview updates as you type.
Is there a kids version for a young artist?
Yes. There are kids tees and a kids dark tee with illustrator designs. Use the product filter to find them.
What is a good gift for a new illustrator?
A mug or tee with illustrator and their name is a simple way to celebrate a first commission or a first book deal, and it works well for a new freelancer too.
What sizes do the illustrator shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an illustrator gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
