Picking a gift for an information management director
An information management director usually sits between the people who build systems and the people who depend on them, making sure records are findable, secure and kept for as long as the rules require. The work is steady and rarely glamorous, which is exactly why a small, well-chosen gift gets noticed. A tee for the office, a hoodie for the cold conference room, or a mug for the desk where they spend long stretches on budgets and policy reviews all say that you recognize the job. Put their title on it, or a shorter version like Information Management or Info Mgmt Director, and you've made something that reads as theirs. If they're retiring or moving to a new role, a mug with their title and the year is a quiet way to mark the change. Ask yourself what they'd want on the shirt before you order, since a title they're proud of makes the gift land better than a joke.
