Picking a gift for an instruction librarian
An instruction librarian spends the day teaching people how to find things: a first-year student hunting for a source, a faculty member building a syllabus, a patron who doesn't know the database exists. It's a job that makes a lot of other people's work go better, and most of them never say thanks. A gift that reads Instruction Librarian tells them their specialty has a name and that someone noticed. Many librarians carry a mug through a long day of workshops, so an 11oz mug on their desk is a daily reminder. A hoodie suits the chilly reading room and the drive to campus, and a tee works for library conferences, Saturday errands and the rare day off. Add the library or institution on a second line, or a year if they've just started, and the shirt becomes theirs. Teaching librarians often get the least recognition for work that requires serious planning, so a gift that names the job exactly lands well.
Instruction Librarian gift questions
Can I add their library or university name?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type the library or institution there, and check the preview to see how it sits under the title.
Is there a gift for a new instruction librarian?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the year they started works well. It marks the new role and is something they'll use in their first semester of teaching.
Can I order for my whole library staff?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the instruction librarian shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an instruction librarian gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
