Gifts from Iowa City
Iowa City people tend to carry the place with them. Some are University of Iowa students who stayed on after graduation, some are faculty and staff who came for the writing programs and the Pedestrian Mall, and some grew up in town and still say "the Ped" without thinking. A gift that says Iowa City on it recognizes that attachment. For the student or recent grad, a hoodie with the year they arrived or finished works well for the cold Iowa winters they'll remember. For someone who's been around the Iowa River for decades, a tee or mug is an easy everyday reminder. Kids in town might want a tee or onesie with the city name, and the dark shirts suit anyone who lives in black most of the time. You can type the city name as the main line and a neighborhood, class year or street into the second line to make it theirs.
