Gifts for people into irish uilleann
Uilleann pipes are the bellows-blown bagpipes of Ireland, quieter and more intimate than the Scottish kind, played sitting down with the bag under the elbow. The people who play them often spend years on a set of pipes, reeds and regulators that need constant attention, and they tend to be in sessions, at fleadhs or in a living room with a pint nearby. A gift that names the instrument tells them you've noticed what they actually do. A tee or hoodie is good for the session, the concert or the long drive to a workshop, and a mug suits the practice table where the reeds get tuned. Pick the design that matches how they play, then add their name or the group they play with on the second line so it feels like it belongs to them.
Irish Uilleann gift questions
What are uilleann pipes?
They are Irish bagpipes blown by a bellows held under the arm rather than a mouth blowpipe. They have a softer tone than the Scottish Highland pipes and are usually played seated, often in sessions.
Can I add a name or a band to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a name, a group or a place. Type it in and the preview updates before you order.
Is there a design for a child who is learning?
Yes. There are kids tees and a kids dark tee. Choose one and add the child's first name on the second line.
What sizes do the irish uilleann shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an irish uilleann gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
