Gifts from Iroquois
Iroquois is a small city in Illinois, a farming and river town most people only pass on the way somewhere else. The people who grew up there tend to carry it with them, and a shirt with the name is how they claim it at a reunion, a high school class event or a visit back home. Iroquois also names a people and a confederacy of nations in the Northeast, so some buyers will be shopping for someone with that heritage, and the design should be chosen with care and with the recipient's own preference in mind. For the hometown gift, a tee or hoodie with the town name and a year, graduation or the year they left, carries the most meaning. A mug suits the person who now lives far away and wants a daily reminder of where they started.
Iroquois gift questions
Is Iroquois a town or a people?
It's both. Iroquois is the name of a small city in Illinois, and it's also the name of a group of Native nations in the Northeast. Think about which meaning the recipient connects to before you choose a design, and if you're unsure, ask them or pick the design that fits the gift's occasion.
Can I add a school or class year to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a year, a class or a short phrase. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing.
