Gifts from La Fargeville
La Fargeville is a small village in Jefferson County, in the northern part of New York State, close to the St. Lawrence River and the Thousand Islands region. People who grew up there tend to carry the place with them, whether they stayed, moved to a bigger city for work, or come back every summer. A shirt or mug with the village name is a way to say where they're from without a long explanation. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a graduating class, a family name or a year they moved back. For someone who lives far from home, a La Fargeville mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder of a place they miss. Because the village is small, a design with the name spelled exactly right, and the right second line, is what will make it feel like theirs.
