Gifts from Labadieville
Labadieville is a small town in Assumption Parish, Louisiana, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it, at a reunion, at a game on the bayou, or on a road trip where somebody asks where they're from and they get to say it proudly. Small towns don't have many souvenir shops, so a personal tee or mug fills a real gap. For someone who moved away, a mug on the kitchen counter is a daily reminder of home. For a family that still lives there, a shirt for each member makes a good matching photo at the annual gatherings. Add a second line with a street, a class year or a family name, and the design becomes theirs rather than a generic town shirt.
