Picking a gift for a laboratory tech
Lab techs spend their shifts running samples, calibrating equipment and keeping careful notes that other people depend on, often under fluorescent lights and with gloves on all day. The gifts they tend to keep are the ones that fit that life: a soft tee for the drive home, a hoodie for the chilly lab that's always colder than the rest of the building, and a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't wander off to the bench next door. Put their title on it, lab tech or laboratory technologist, and add a line for their specialty, like clinical, microbiology or histology, if you know it. A small detail like that makes a shirt feel chosen rather than generic. If you're shopping for a whole lab, a single design with each person's name on their own shirt makes a better team gift than another box of donuts. Medical Laboratory Professionals Week falls in late April, which is a good time to order if you want it to arrive in time.
Laboratory Tech gift questions
Can I add a specialty or certification to a lab tech shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the specialty there, such as microbiology or clinical. If they hold a credential you're sure of, you can add that too.
When is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week?
It's usually held in late April, so order a couple of weeks early if you want a gift to arrive before it starts.
Is there a gift for a new lab tech who just finished school?
A hoodie or tee with their title and graduation year marks the start of the job nicely, and it's something they'll wear through their first months on the bench.
Can I order shirts for my whole lab?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the laboratory tech shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a laboratory tech gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
