Picking a gift for a lens assistant
A lens assistant is the person who keeps the camera crew's glass clean, organized and ready, often working fast and out of sight during a shoot. They know the difference between a prime and a zoom by feel, track focus marks, and carry a case full of cleaning cloths and spare parts. Their work is quiet and demanding, and a gift that acknowledges the craft tends to land better than a generic crew tee. Put their name on a shirt or hoodie for the long days on set, or add a line like camera department or their production title so colleagues recognize the role at a glance. A mug works well for the early call time, and a dark tee suits the crew who spends most of the shoot in shadow. If you're buying for a whole camera team, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
Lens Assistant gift questions
Can I add a production title or department under the word?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type the title, such as first AC or camera department, and the preview updates so you can check the spacing.
Is lens assistant a common job title on set?
It's used on many productions, though some crews call the role second assistant or focus puller depending on their structure. Check with the person's crew if you're unsure which title they use.
Can I get a design for a crew member's name instead?
Yes. Swap the main word for their first or last name and keep lens assistant on a second line if you want both.
Are there kids or baby options for this word?
Only if a parent or relative wants a fun nod to the job, since kids and baby designs are limited for this word. Use the product filter to see what's available.
What sizes do the lens assistant shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a lens assistant gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
