Picking a gift for a lighting director
A lighting director shapes how a show looks from the first cue to the final blackout. They spend long hours in dark rigs and control booths, programming looks for concerts, theater productions, broadcasts and corporate events, and they often know a stage better than anyone in the room. A gift that acknowledges that work lands well. A dark tee suits a crew call or a load-in, a hoodie keeps them warm in drafty venues and cold trucks, and a mug fits the coffee that gets them through a long tech week. Add their name, or a second line with the venue, tour or production they're proudest of, and the gift becomes theirs. If you're buying for a whole lighting crew, the Team Shop lets you order one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which is a fun way to mark a tour or a season.
Lighting Director gift questions
Can I add a production or tour name to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type the show, tour or venue there and check the spacing in the live preview before you order.
Is there a lighting director shirt for kids?
There are a few kids designs for this word. Use the product filter to see the Kids T-shirt and Kids Dark T-shirt options.
Can I order shirts for my whole lighting crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What if I want the title to read differently, like LD or Lighting Designer?
Type whatever wording they use into the text box. The design updates, so you can see how it reads before you buy.
What sizes do the lighting director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a lighting director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
