Gifts from Little Orleans
Little Orleans is a name that tends to bring up a particular picture: a small place with a big sense of itself, the kind of town people leave and then keep talking about for years. Someone who's from there, or who loves it, wants a way to say so without making a speech. A tee that reads Little Orleans on the front and a line for their street, their school or the year they left is a quiet way of saying where they come from. It also suits the friend who went off to college and still wears their hometown everywhere. A hoodie is the right pick for cold-weather visits home, and a mug belongs on the kitchen table of someone who still calls the place home. Since the name carries a lot of meaning for the person who has lived it, the most thoughtful version of this gift is the one that adds a detail only they would recognize.
