Picking a gift for a locator
A locator is the person who finds what's hidden: wires buried under a sidewalk, pipes under a slab, lines running through a building before the excavator shows up. Their days go by in a truck, a radio, a pair of headphones and a lot of walking with their head down. Gifts that land with them tend to be practical and a little bit tough. A dark tee they can wear on a muddy site, a hoodie for the cold early-morning drive out, or a mug for the coffee that's been going cold in the truck cup holder. Put the word locator on it and you've told them you know what the job is. If the crew shares a design, the Team Shop lets you paste every name and pick each person's size, so the whole crew ends up in matching shirts without any back-and-forth.
Locator gift questions
Can I add a company name or crew name under locator?
Many designs have a second line. Type the company or crew name there and the preview will show you how it sits under the main word before you order.
Is there a dark shirt option for working in the field?
Yes. Dark T-shirts come in several designs, and a dark kids version is also available if you're buying for a young family member who likes to help out.
Are there locator designs for kids?
Kids T-shirts and kids dark T-shirts are available in a handful of designs, which can be a fun way to celebrate a parent's job.
What's a good gift for a new locator just starting out?
A hoodie or mug with their job title is a simple way to mark the start of a new career and a useful everyday item at the same time.
What sizes do the locator shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a locator gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
