Gifts from Lyon
Lyon is the city in France that most people outside of France haven't heard of, and the people who know it love it for that reason. It's the food capital, the place where the bouchon restaurants serve sausage and lentils, where two rivers meet, and where the traboules, hidden passages through old buildings, still run under the Croix-Rousse hill. A person from Lyon, or someone who studied or lived there, tends to talk about it the way they'd talk about a favorite friend, with a bit of pride and a lot of opinions about where to eat. A Lyon shirt or mug says you noticed that too. For a traveler, it's a souvenir with a story. For someone who lived there, it's a quiet reminder of a year that changed how they cook and walk and drink coffee. Type Lyon into the text box, then add a second line for a neighborhood or the year they went, and it becomes theirs.
Lyon gift questions
