Picking a gift for a manager material
Manager material is a phrase people use about someone they think should be running something, which makes it a funny and slightly pointed gift. The person it describes is usually the one who keeps the schedule straight, handles the difficult conversation before anyone else will, and quietly fixes the thing nobody asked them to fix. They tend to be the first in the office and the last to leave, and they'd rather be useful than be thanked. A tee or hoodie with manager material on it lands well because it's a compliment they can wear on a Saturday as easily as on a Monday. If you want it to feel personal, add their title, their team or the year they started on the second line, so it reads as a note about their work rather than a generic joke. The mug is a good pick for the desk, since the job tends to come with a lot of coffee and very little sitting still.
Manager Material gift questions
Can I add a job title or team name under manager material?
Yes. Many designs have a second line. Type the title or team there and the live preview will show you how it sits before you order.
Is there a version for a new manager?
You can use the same design and add their start year or the word new on the second line. Being promoted is a good excuse for a mug or tee.
Can I get the design in kids sizes?
There are a few kids tee and dark tee designs for this word, so you can match a parent and child in the same phrase if that suits your family.
What sizes do the manager material shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a manager material gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
