Gifts from Mattapan
Mattapan is a small neighborhood in Boston's Hyde Park area, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it hard, even after they've moved out. A Mattapan shirt is a way to say where you're from without having to explain it. It works for the person who came back for the holidays, the one who still gets the bus down Blue Hill Avenue to visit family, or anyone whose whole childhood runs through that part of the city. Since the neighborhood is small and specific, the name itself is the point. Put it front and center, and use the second line for a street, a school or a graduation year if that fits their story. A hoodie suits a college student heading back to school, and a mug is the easy gift for the homesick transplant who still keeps their Boston pride on the kitchen counter.
Mattapan gift questions
Can I add a street or school name to the shirt?
Many designs have a second line. Type a street, school or year there and the preview will show how it sits under the main word.
Is there a Mattapan design for kids?
Yes. Kids tees and kids dark tees are available, and a baby onesie has a few designs as well.
Can I order shirts for a group of people from the neighborhood?
Yes. In the Team Shop, pick one design, paste the list of names, and choose a size for each person so everyone gets their own shirt.
Which product works best for a gift?
A hoodie is a good choice for cooler weather and students. A mug is a practical pick for someone who wants a daily reminder of home.
What sizes do the mattapan shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Mattapan gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
