Gifts from Mattawamkeag
Mattawamkeag is a small town in northern Maine, on the Penobscot River, where the Maine woods start to feel like the main event. The people who belong there tend to be proud of it in a quiet way: they know the drive, the seasons and the people who've stayed put. A shirt or mug with the town name is a way of saying where someone is from, whether they still live there or left for school and came back in their heads every winter. Because it's such a particular name, a gift with it lands as a personal choice rather than a generic souvenir. Add a second line with a year they were born, a graduating class or a family name if you want to make it theirs. For someone who has moved away, a mug is the kind of small daily reminder that tends to get used more than anything else.
Mattawamkeag gift questions
Can I add a year or a family name to the design?
Many designs have a second line. Type a year, a class or a family name there and the preview will update so you can check it before ordering.
Is there a design for kids?
Yes. Kids tees, dark kids tees and baby onesies are available with the town name, so you can choose a size and color for a child.
Do you have designs that show the town's location or map?
Designs use the town name and text you add. Any other imagery would be something you upload yourself, which isn't part of the standard designs here.
What's a good gift for someone who grew up in a small Maine town?
A shirt or mug with the town name is a simple, personal choice. It works for people who still live there and for those who left long ago.
What sizes do the mattawamkeag shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Mattawamkeag gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
