Picking a gift for a mechanical internship
A mechanical engineering intern is usually spending long days on a shop floor or in a design review, learning the job one bolt and one drawing revision at a time. They're tired, a little nervous about asking the wrong question, and proud of anything that makes them look like they belong. A tee or hoodie with their internship on it is a small signal that they're part of the team now, even if they're still learning which wrench is which. A mug is a good pick for the desk in a cubicle or the bench in a machine shop, where coffee gets cold fast. Add the company name if they're comfortable sharing it, or the year of the internship, so the design means something specific to them. Interns often get a lot of bad coffee and very few gifts, so something they'll use every day lands well.
Mechanical Internship gift questions
Can I add the company or school name to the design?
Many designs have a second line for a name, year or place. Type the company or school there, and the preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is this a good gift for someone finishing an internship?
Yes. A shirt or mug with the internship marks the experience and is something they can keep using after the summer ends.
Can I order for a whole group of interns?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: pick one design, paste the names, and choose a size for each person so every intern gets their own shirt.
What sizes do the mechanical internship shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a mechanical internship gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
