Picking a gift for a metal detectorist
Metal detectorists spend weekends walking fields, beaches and old homesteads with headphones on, listening for the tone that means something is down there. Most of the time it's a bottle cap, but every so often it's a coin from the 1890s, a button or a buckle, and that's what keeps them out there. A gift that fits the hobby is one they'll use on the next dig: a hoodie for the cold early mornings in a plowed field, a tee for the beach, or a mug for the thermos of coffee they bring along while they wait for the tone. Add the detail that matters to them, like the word Detectorist with their name, a club name or the year they started, and the shirt stops being generic. Metal detecting is a hobby where people compare finds and stories, so something personal to them will get noticed at the next club meeting.
Metal Detectorist gift questions
Can I add a club name or a year to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a club, a year or a name. Type it in and the preview will show you how it sits under the main word.
Do you have metal detecting designs for kids?
Yes, there are kids tees and kids dark tees in the metal detectorist design set, so a young hunter can wear one too.
What's a good gift for someone just starting out in metal detecting?
A mug or a tee with their name and the year they started works well. It marks the beginning of the hobby and is useful on the first few outings.
What sizes do the metal detectorist shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a metal detectorist gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
