Gifts from Mi Wuk Village
Mi-Wuk Village is a small unincorporated community in Tuolumne County, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, and many of the people tied to it are locals who know the area by its pines, its granite and its long drives to get anywhere. A shirt with the village name is how someone who grew up there, or who spends weekends in the mountains, announces where home is. Because the place is small and the name is specific, a gift with it lands as a real piece of their life rather than a generic souvenir. Think about the person's time there: a family cabin, a school they went to, a trail they hike every summer, a hometown they still drive back to for the holidays. Dark tees suit the cool mornings and the campfire, hoodies cover the chilly evenings at elevation, and a mug fits the kitchen table where the first coffee of the day happens. Add a second line with a year or a family name and the design becomes theirs.
