Gifts from Moncure
Moncure is a small place, and the people who grew up there tend to know exactly where it sits on the map and how far they've strayed from it. A shirt or mug with the name is a quiet way to say you're from somewhere specific, not just from the broad region around it. For someone who left for college or a job in a bigger city and still tells people where they're from, a Moncure tee becomes a small joke with a lot of history in it. For a family member who never left, the same shirt is more of a claim to the place. Pick the shirt for the setting you'll see it in most, whether that's a weekend in the yard or a hoodie for a cold morning. If you know a detail that belongs to this person, like a street, a church or the year they moved, put it on the second line so the shirt is theirs and not just a town name.
