Gifts from Netawaka
Netawaka is a small town in northeastern Kansas, and that's the detail that makes a gift for someone from there land. Small towns run on familiarity: people who grew up there, moved away and came back, or who still send their kids to the same school their parents attended. A shirt with the town name is the easiest way to say you know where they're from, and it works whether they're still there or living in a city that doesn't know the name. Since the word is a town rather than a big city, a little more personal touch helps, like the year they graduated from the local school or the year they moved back. Many designs have a second line, so you can add that detail without changing the look. For someone who left and misses home, a mug on the kitchen counter is a small daily reminder of where they started.
