Gifts from New Columbia
New Columbia is a place people tend to care about in a very specific way. Whoever lives there, grew up there, or once had a reason to pass through often wants something that says so without a lot of explanation. A shirt with the town name is how they show it at a neighborhood event, at a visit home, or just on an ordinary weekend. Because the name is less common than the big cities, the detail is the point: a shirt or mug that reads New Columbia will make the person stop and smile, and they may get asked about it, which they'll probably enjoy. If you know a street, a school, a year they moved in, or a nickname people use for the place, put it on the second line. That turns a town name into something that sounds like them. For someone who's moved away, a mug with the name is a small daily reminder of where they're from.
