Gifts from Newberne
Newberne is a name that usually points to North Carolina, a coastal city where the river meets the sound and summers run long and humid. Anyone from there knows the place has a way of pulling people back, whether they grew up on its waterfront streets or moved away for school or work and still count it as home. A shirt with the city name is how they carry it with them, and it works best when the design reflects what they actually love about the place. Add a second line for a street, a neighborhood, or the year they left or came back. For the transplant who misses the slower pace, an 11 oz mug gives them a daily reminder. And for anyone who's still there, a hoodie is the practical choice for the cooler months, when the town gets quieter and the sweatshirt weather finally shows up.
