Picking a gift for a news intern
A news intern is usually young, underpaid and running on coffee, chasing down press releases, transcribing interviews and hoping one of their pitches gets read by an editor. A gift that acknowledges the grind lands well. A tee for the newsroom, a hoodie for the late-night desk shift, a mug for the first-morning budget meeting where nobody remembers their name yet. Add the publication or station they're working for, or the year of the internship, so the gift marks this specific chapter rather than the job in general. Many interns are still figuring out whether journalism is their path, so a shirt that says news intern with a year underneath becomes a small badge of having started. It's a gift that says you noticed the work, and that their early bylines matter to you.
News Intern gift questions
Can I add the name of the outlet to a news intern design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type the newspaper, station or magazine there. Check the preview to make sure the spacing looks right before you order.
Is news intern a good gift for someone starting in journalism?
It works well for someone early in their career. Pair the title with their start year so it feels like a milestone they earned, not just a job label.
Can I order shirts for a whole newsroom internship class?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to pick one design, paste the intern names and choose a size for each person, and every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the news intern shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a news intern gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
