Gifts from North Beach
North Beach is the Italian heart of San Francisco, a neighborhood of espresso bars, old red sauce restaurants, and sidewalk cafes that have been around for generations. People who live there or grew up there tend to hold onto it hard, and a shirt that says North Beach is how they claim it, whether they're walking to the bakery on a foggy morning or sitting through a Giants game in another city. It's a place with a strong sense of identity, so a gift that names it feels personal rather than generic. Add a second line for the street they live on, the year they moved in, or the cafe they always order from, and the shirt becomes theirs. For the friend who moved away and still talks about North Beach every week, a mug or a hoodie is a small way to say you remember where they're from.
